COVID-19 Update 18 March 2020
Ombudsman SA has introduced a number of measures in the interests of the health and safety of the public and our staff at Ombudsman SA. We continue to monitor the situation and further changes to our business practices may be implemented in the future.
Physical Access to our Office
From 17 March 2020, physical access to Ombudsman SA is closed.
Anyone wishing to contact our office, including to make a complaint about a South Australian government department or local council, should do so by using the web form or by emailing us at
If you are unable, for example by reason of disability, to put your complaint in writing, you can call us on 8226 8699.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you that your complaint is important to us.
While this Office will aim to deal with matters as quickly as possible, timeframes for dealing with complaints and requests for external review may be affected in the short term.
The Ombudsman is aware that the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to have an impact on other agencies’ resources and ability to respond to the Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman will continue to review this Office’s priorities for dealing with matters on an ongoing basis. Parties will be advised of any significant changes to this Office’s usual timelines or priorities as necessary.
